Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how OUO PTY LTD (ABN 15 656 868 647) (OUO, we, us or our) collects, holds, uses and discloses personal information in connection with this website and our business enquiries.
Effective 20 July 2026
1. Our privacy commitment
This is OUO's current operational privacy policy. We are committed to handling personal information fairly and transparently and to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and other privacy laws to the extent they apply to our activities.
This policy is intended to describe our usual information-handling practices. A more specific collection notice or contractual term may apply to a particular service, opportunity or referral.
2. Personal information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you deal with us. It may include your name, business or employer, job title, email address, enquiry type, message, preferred language and records of our communications with you.
- For merchant, courier, promotional, referral or logistics enquiries, we may later request information reasonably required to assess or progress that enquiry.
- Our systems may process technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, request time and security logs to operate and protect the website.
- We do not ask for sensitive information through the general enquiry form. Please do not include health information, identity documents, financial account details or other sensitive information unless we specifically request it through an appropriate channel.
3. How we collect information
We generally collect personal information directly from you when you use the enquiry form, email us, meet with us, or otherwise communicate with us. We may also receive information from your authorised representative, a business or platform involved in your enquiry, or publicly available business sources where it is lawful and reasonable to do so.
You may deal with us anonymously or by pseudonym where lawful and practicable. However, if you do not provide the information marked as required, we may be unable to respond to or progress your enquiry.
4. Why we collect and use information
- Respond to enquiries and communicate with you.
- Assess and facilitate business promotion, merchant onboarding, courier, logistics, referral or other opportunities you ask about.
- Provide, administer and improve our services and business relationships.
- Verify information, prevent misuse, maintain records and protect the security and integrity of our website and systems.
- Meet legal and regulatory obligations, exercise or defend legal rights, and manage complaints or disputes.
- Use information for another purpose with your consent or where permitted or required by law.
5. When we disclose information
We may disclose personal information only where reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, for a related purpose you would reasonably expect, with your consent, or as permitted or required by law.
- Our personnel and contractors who need the information to perform their duties.
- Website hosting, email delivery, information technology, security and other operational service providers.
- Relevant platforms, merchants, financial services providers, logistics providers, carriers or other business partners where you ask us to facilitate an enquiry or referral.
- Professional advisers, insurers, regulators, courts, tribunals, law enforcement agencies or other persons where disclosure is authorised or required by law.
6. Direct marketing
Consent to receive a response to an enquiry is not consent to receive unrelated marketing. We will only send commercial electronic messages where we have the consent required by law or another lawful basis, and those messages will identify the sender and provide a functional way to unsubscribe. You may opt out at any time using the instructions in the message or by contacting us.
7. Overseas disclosure and processing
Some technology and email service providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries in which their infrastructure or support teams operate. Depending on the enquiry, we may also disclose information to a relevant recipient in China or another country after notifying you or obtaining consent where required.
Where the Privacy Act applies, we take reasonable steps in the circumstances to ensure an overseas recipient handles personal information consistently with applicable Australian privacy requirements, unless an exception applies. Privacy protections in another country may not be equivalent to those in Australia.
8. Security, retention and data breaches
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, legitimate business recordkeeping and legal requirements. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it, subject to lawful backup and record-retention processes. Where applicable, we manage eligible data breaches in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.
9. Cookies and browser storage
The website currently uses essential browser storage to remember settings such as your light or dark theme preference. It does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. You can clear browser storage through your browser settings, although some preferences may then need to be selected again.
If we introduce non-essential cookies or analytics, we will update this policy and implement any notice or consent mechanism required by applicable law before using them.
10. Access and correction
You may ask for access to personal information we hold about you or request that inaccurate, out-of-date, incomplete, irrelevant or misleading information be corrected. We may need to verify your identity. We will respond within a reasonable period and, if we refuse a request under an applicable legal exception, explain the refusal and available complaint mechanisms where required by law.
You may also request a copy of this policy in another reasonable and accessible form by emailing our Privacy Officer.
11. Privacy complaints
Please send a written complaint to our Privacy Officer using the contact details below and include enough information for us to understand and investigate your concern. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be entitled to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
12. Changes and contact details
